Everybody's workin' for the weekend

Also known widely as the Fire Bird, the phoenix is a profound symbol of life and rebirth. It has a life cycle of 500 to 600 years and after that amount of time, it sets itself on fire and dies in the flames. Then, after three days, it rises again from the ashes. It is a completely benign creature who lives in dew. It is said that the phoenix has a beautiful melodious song which grows ever more mournful as its life comes to an end. It is also a symbol of the sun and immortality.

Yay, it's Saturday. That means grocery shopping and visiting my friend's now home & relatively healthy baby. The bf is not that enthused about baby visiting...which is amusing because he was so SUPER worried about the kid. Asking me all the time how he was...*shrugs* Boys, go figure. (What movie is that from?)

They caught the kid who lit the soap dispenser on fire at school on...Thursday...I think it was Thursday. Yeah, that was pretty exciting....30 minutes outside...at least it was sunny. But they caught the little punk, so it's all good.

Went to see "The Rundown" yesterday with the bf. Actually, it was a pretty good movie. Still want to see "Once Upon A Time in Mexico" but I haven't seen "Desperado" so I'm torn. Probably won't be going to see it this weekend anyway. Incidentally, "School of Rock" looks like it's going to be pretty funny.

No writing lately...just a lot of thinking about writing. I'm seriously considering bringing my laptop with me to the school, since I still don't have access to their system under my own account. That way, I could spend my down time (and there's a lot of it) in the library either writing or working on lesson plans. Does that defeat the purpose of student teaching, or am I just using my time really effectively? *double shrug*
